Since the early 1980s, Professor Toledano has taught and supervised over twenty graduate students who completed their MA theses and PhD dissertations under his guidance. Many of them are by now well-established and leading academics, while others are up-and-coming younger scholars, all working in the field of socio-political and socio-cultural history of the Middle East and North Africa. Fifteen of them organized a colloquium in his honor and presented original papers on a variety of topics dating from the early modern to the modern periods.

Professor Shimon Shamir provided an opening address and Professor Toledano gave the keynote address. Following is the list of lectures delivered during the two-day colloquium.
